Since I’ve been starting to visit the mountains I had the possibility to meet many persons and visit many places. It is in the Slovenian Julian Alps where I have left the great part of my heart. Like Julius Kugy who loved to be accompanied by alpine guides of the valley to whom he fostered esteem and friendship, so do I believe that you can feel deeply the mountain when you plunge yourself into the way of living of that area. And the best way to achieve this is to get in touch with the people of the spot. With this spirit I met my two favourite alpine guides. They guided me with skill and friendship, not only in the Slovenian mountains but also on the Mount Blanc massif and on the Grossglockner. I will be always bound to them for having me guided and introduced in the world of high summits. They are:
